Our Ombre Hair Color Tips
In our first Ombre post we talked about how Ombre hair color is low maintenance (Ombre Low Maintenance Hair Color). In our second Ombre post we talked about the differences between the Ombre, Sombre and Rombre Hair Color techniques (Ombre, Sombre or Rombre Hair Color)
Today we’re going to talk about the reasons Ombre hair color works. So, to refresh, what is Ombre hair color? Ombre is the gradual blending of one color hue to another, usually moving tints and shaded from light to dark. This technique can also be known as a surface treatment in fashion and art.
Ombre would be a great style for someone who wants to be able to go longer periods of time in between salon appointments. The reason for this is because unlike regular hair color such as all over color and highlights, you don’t have roots that grow in (unless your ombre consists of an all over darker base, which in most cases still allows you to get away longer between visits).
Why Should You Choose Ombre Hair Color
If you are having trouble deciding if ombre is a good fit for you, here are five reasons in which you may benefit.
Reason #1 – It’s trendy! Ombre is definately the way to go if you are into trends and fashion. Ombre is used all over the world. Including being very popular among many celebrities!
Reason #2 – It’s low maintenance! Ombre allows you to keep your base color, which means no roots! With ombre, your ends are all that needs to be lightened, unless wanting to go with a more intense look you can color all the way from your roots to the ends.
Reason #3 – It’s different! Ombre is not a full head color, yet it is much different from the usual highlights or panels.
Reason #4 – It’s less damaging! Ombre allows you to get an interesting and dramatic change without having to risk all of the damage. (The reason being, only the ends are what are being lightened.)
Reason #5 – It’s easy to transition from! The biggest problem with any new hairstyle is that once you achieve your new look, going back to your original color is not going to be an easy task. With ombre, the most you need to do is tone out the lightened ends.
